Finger Font is an experimental handwriting display typeface created through a tactile analog process: each character was drawn using an index finger across glass coated in wet blue tempera paint. As the paint dried, the exposed glass formed natural letterforms that were scanned and digitized in 1999 using Adobe Streamline for a Type 3 typography class project.
The set includes 52 characters—26 clean uppercase letters paired with 26 distressed outlined lowercase letters. The result is a highly expressive display font ideal for posters, album art, handmade branding, experimental typography, and projects that benefit from raw, human mark-making.
